The editors of AutoWeek, one of North America’s most respected and longest standing automotive enthusiast magazines, have voted the Saab 9-X BioHybrid “Best Concept” upon its world debut at the auto show in Geneva this week. With this award, the Saab 9-X BioHybrid premium compact joins the very successful Saab Aero X coupe concept which received AutoWeek’s “Best in Show” honors upon its debut in Geneva, two years ago.

Here is Saab’s coverage of the 9-x Biohybrid premiere.
Here’s video of an imaginary Saab 9-x hitting the pavement in an imaginary city. That front grill looks splendid.
I swear Ford and Saab hired the same musician. Not to offend anyone, I do like the music. It’s probably the same musicians that did “Friday Night Lights”…the movie.

Saab officials speaks up to correct an article written by MotorTrend. No, the Saab 9-1/x is not meant to compete directly with the Mini.
More “official” images of the Saab 9-1 has been popping up. I don’t know the legitimacy of this image, but it’s way better than a black silhouette and two headlights. trollhattansaab also has a comparison to the concept Saab 9x.
zzzzzz… I would’ve posted the teaser image earlier, but I didn’t find headlights to be that exciting. Somehow, throughout the last couple days, the silhouette went from being a 9-1 to 9-1x and even a 9-5 across the blogging interweb. I cleared up any questions with the following images posted below.
With a tag line like “Keep your eyes open. Something is happening in Geneva”, I can’t help but get excited. Seriously, I am eager to see the real deal.
Since everyone in the blogging world has posted the image, here it is. I even lightened the image to maybe get a glimpse of what’s in that shadow. I grabbed the image from www.saab.com

That was a mean joke. A Saab will never be as ugly as the new Ford Focus.
MotorTrend has a story regarding an accidental placement of a certain small vehicle <cough> Saab 9-1 </cough> that has not been identified. They go on rambling about different color tops, a pillars, b pillars, and profitability for GM. All I noticed was that the sketch has nothing to do with what they were talking about. I did like the sketch, though.
